Diplomatic Statement on Ending Child Hunger

Diplomatic Statement on Ending Child Hunger
& Launching the “Food Lifelines” Coalition

The Unified State grieves every empty stomach, every child whose growth is stunted, and every caregiver who must choose between medicine and a meal. In an era of unprecedented wealth and knowledge, hunger is a moral failure we refuse to accept. Today we declare a universal commitment: by the will of our shared humanity, every child will have sufficient, nutritious food—every day.

Immediate Actions

  • Food Lifelines Task Force: a rapid-deployment network of logistics experts, agronomists and humanitarian operators to open or reopen safe-food corridors within 72 hours of request, prioritising high-risk zones named in FAO-WFP Hunger Hotspots.
  • Ukrainian Grain for Humanity: allocate up to 5 million tonnes of Ukrainian wheat, maize and sunflower oil in 2025-26 for concessional or in-kind shipments to famine-alert countries, using the Black Sea navigation agreements now in force.
  • Child Nutrition & Climate Fund: seed a multi-partner $3 billion mechanism linking school-meal programmes to regenerative agriculture and solar-powered cold chains, ensuring food quality even under extreme heat.
  • Ceasefire for Grain Corridors: call on all belligerents to honour 90-day pauses around ports, silos and main trucking routes, enabling unobstructed food flow to civilians.

Long-Term Vision

By 2030 we aim to reduce global child wasting to below 3 %, cut hunger hotspots by two-thirds, and make climate-smart farming the default across 70 % of arable land. We invite states, multilateral bodies, indigenous communities and private innovators to co-draft a Universal Food Security Compact that binds finance, science and solidarity behind one goal: Zero Child Hunger on a Warming Planet.
