Diplomatic Statement on the Current Climate Emergency
& Protection of Elderly Populations

On behalf of the Unified State, I extend deepest condolences to every family mourning loved ones lost to the unprecedented heat now sweeping Europe and other regions of our shared planet. The rising mortality—disproportionately among our elders—underscores a moral imperative: no person should perish for want of a cool, safe place to breathe.

Our Immediate Commitments

  • ECRDR (Elder Climate Rapid-Deployment Relief): We call on assembling a multidisciplinary team patterned on IFRC RDRT principles to support swift relocation of at-risk seniors from heat hotspots to cooler micro-climates such as the Ukrainian Carpathians and other willing host regions.
  • Ceasefire for Climate: We call on all parties engaged in armed conflict to honour 90-day humanitarian climate pauses, allowing safe transit corridors for elderly evacuees and uninterrupted delivery of cooling equipment and medical supplies.
  • Climate Refuge Network: Partner with national Red Cross / Red Crescent societies, local governments and faith communities to expand “cooling refuges” wherever temperatures exceed 40 °C for two consecutive days.
  • Science-Guided Adaptation: Launch a public knowledge hub by September 2025, sharing open-source designs for passive cooling, urban shade canopies and rapid-install photovoltaic micro-grids to power life-saving air-conditioning without fossil fuels.

Long-Term Vision

The Unified State reaffirms that climate restoration—through aggressive decarbonisation, ecosystem revival and equitable technology transfer—is the cornerstone of universal security. We invite governments, NGOs, research institutions and indigenous knowledge-holders to co-author a Planetary Healing Accord in 2026, aligning finance, science and moral will behind a single, human-centred objective: every person, every age, safe from climate extremes.
