THE UNIFIED COMPASS

A place for perspective.

The Compass helps you explore a question through seven optional perspectives. It does not score you, verify your notes, generate advice, or decide for you.

The seven names are symbolic lenses—not ranks, duties, or claims about reality. You can skip a perspective, stop early, or leave your question open.

Your words stay your words

Observation, interpretation, preference, and open question are labels you choose. Your card is assembled from your writing and selected notes. There is no AI interpretation behind it.

About your notes

By default, this tool keeps your writing only in the current page’s memory. It does not send notes to a server or use analytics, accounts, external fonts, or external libraries.

“Save on this device” is optional and uses this browser’s local storage. It is not encrypted; other people with access to this browser, and other scripts on the same website, may be able to access it. Browser clearing, private browsing, or moving the HTML file may remove or separate a saved copy. A downloaded backup is more portable.

Temporary mode is not a secure-erasure guarantee: browsers, extensions, operating systems, keyboards, and spellcheck services have their own behavior. Hosting servers may log ordinary page visits. This tool itself does not transmit what you write.

Nothing is automatically published, and no note is placed in a link. Downloads and copied text are outside the tool’s control. Avoid entering information you would not be comfortable storing on this device.

Keep only what you choose.

Saved notes and downloaded backups are not encrypted. On a shared device, leave saving off unless you are comfortable leaving a browser copy. Browser storage can be cleared; offline file storage varies between browsers.

A portable copy

A backup includes your question, all notes, unfinished drafts, and your card. Importing a backup replaces the current Compass only after confirmation.

Clear this session and remove this tool’s saved copy from this browser. This cannot remove files you have downloaded or copies held elsewhere.
