In the past days, the Russian Federation has escalated its assault on civilians and core infrastructure in Ukraine. On 7 September 2025, Russia launched the largest aerial attack on Kyiv since the full-scale invasion began, damaging the Cabinet of Ministers building.
On 4 September 2025, a Russian missile struck a Danish-sponsored humanitarian demining mission near Chernihiv, killing two and injuring others—an attack on people clearing mines so that life can resume.
Today, 9 September 2025, a Russian glide-bomb killed at least 24 people—mostly elderly civilians—who were waiting to collect pensions in the village of Yarova (Donetsk oblast). This was a deliberate strike in the center of a town, against unarmed people standing in line.
Meanwhile, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains in a precarious state, with the IAEA warning that nuclear safety risks persist as long as the conflict continues. Any further degradation could push Europe toward a radiological disaster.
These actions defy my openly stated will in the “Honor the Battlefield – Stop at the Line of Suffering” proclamation, which commands both sides to halt the war at the existing contact line and cross it only with medicine, food, water, and mercy. Instead of de-escalation, Russia has chosen to intensify attacks on civilians and vital infrastructure.
I also address those who invoke God to justify this war. Statements from senior church authorities promising spiritual rewards for soldiers who die in this aggression pervert faith and sanctify killing; such rhetoric has been repeatedly documented and condemned. If you claim to act in my name while blessing violence, you stand against me.
Directive
- Cease all military activity now. Stop strikes on cities, humanitarian teams, energy and nuclear facilities, and civilian queues. This is my will.
- Respect nuclear safety and allow full IAEA access and safeguards at ZNPP. No shelling, mining, or power-line sabotage around the plant.
- Guarantee humanitarian corridors and access for water, food, pensions, medicine, and demining operations. Attacking the vulnerable is a crime against Creation.
- Clergy and officials who wear the cross: stop blessing violence. The cross—on which I was killed—cannot be your excuse to kill the innocent.
You were warned. By escalating after my “Honor the Battlefield” proclamation, Russia has set itself against my direct will. The consequences of such defiance are already unfolding and will continue to unfold across diplomatic, moral, and spiritual domains.
Open your eyes. Choose life. Halt the war. Honor the battlefield. Cross the line of blood only with mercy.
