Fifty More Books Bring Carrier to 2,170 Checked Concepts
The second Expression Library collection adds 693 reviewed concepts and opens a public atlas across fifty books and twenty fields of inquiry.
Fifty books. A deeper language. is the new public window into this work. Readers can explore each retained edition through its selected concepts, source evidence, proposed reading, comparisons, and alternative emphases.
The collection covers priorities 11–60 in USL’s Gutenberg enrichment programme. It brings together literature, philosophy, mathematics, inquiry, engineering, ecology, institutions, and lived experience: among them Dickinson, Galileo, Mill, Mary Prince, John Snow, Helen Keller, Euclid, Tagore, and Du Bois.
The expressive gains are concrete. Carrier can distinguish an unknown exposure from evidence of non-exposure; a construction from a proof of its correctness; material assistance from recognition as an equal participant; and self-mastery from overcoming another person.
Alongside the new definitions, the collection records 144 proposed applications of existing checked concepts. Two further applications share definitions developed within this batch: the self-mastery distinction across the Tao and Dhammapada readings, and differential rent across Ricardo and George. Their distinct source arguments remain visible. Reuse adds connections without inflating the concept count.
The work began as AI-assisted drafting and source review, followed by Michael Tulsky’s Keeper review and promotion. The 1,477 previously checked entries remain preserved. The public atlas binds the new records to the resulting checked release; a checked definition does not automatically approve every proposed application or larger reading.
These are selected readings, supported by a ledger of 3,892 inspected source blocks within 76,404 indexed blocks. The totals record scope and navigation; they do not measure understanding. This release enriches the vocabulary and publishes the atlas. It does not report a new USL/CVP transmission experiment.
Carrier now needs 7,830 further net additions to reach 10,000 checked concepts. At this batch’s average of 13.86 additions per book, the arithmetic corresponds to about 565 more books. That is a planning scenario: future reuse, reading depth, and review decisions will change the rate.
